20 January 2026
This year we decided to do something a little bit different.
Instead of celebrating what many call Blue Monday, we chose to follow the lead of the Samaritans and celebrate Brew Monday instead. The Samaritans message is simple and powerful. Tough days do not stick to the calendar. Feeling low can happen at any time. What really matters is connection and conversation.
So yesterday on Monday 19 January, we brought the idea to life here at Phillips Law.
Our team took time out of their busy schedules to pause, and enjoy a moment together. A coffee van, from the local company Really Awesome Coffee, arrived in the morning to serve fresh hot drinks, and pastries were waiting upstairs in the kitchen.
It was a small gesture but we wanted to transform this day into a positive one.
Taking a break, sharing a conversation, and enjoying a simple treat reminded us of something important. Looking after ourselves and each other matters far more than any date on a calendar.
Brew Monday is about checking in, talking, and remembering that support is always there. It is a message we are proud to share.
Here is to starting the year with warmth, kindness, and connection.
We are here to help
Looking after wellbeing also means taking care of the practical things in life. If you need legal support at any point this year, our team is here to help with clear, straightforward advice.
