Corporate Social Responsibility & Community

Corporate Social Responsibility & Community

Phillips Law is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility in the local community and dedicated to Inspiring Ambition and supporting people to take the next step. We support the dreamers, the fighters, and the local heroes tackling everything from their first marathon to health battles or new careers. Find out more on our Instagram.

Our commitment is further evidenced by being shortlisted for the Business and the Community Award in Basingstoke’s Place to be Proud of Awards in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Most of our staff live locally so we believe it is important to stay relevant, by sponsoring the Destination Basingstoke half-marathon and the official Corporate Team Challenge sponsor for the Farnborough Marathon. We work closely with Destination Basingstoke, organising donations for local food banks and donating any left-over client balances to St Michael’s Hospice in Basingstoke.

We are the lead sponsors for the Grange Festival’s charitable outreach. The programmes inspire young people in local schools and introduce them to the world of art. As the Grange works with many schools in Basingstoke this is a natural fit for us.

We are committed to supporting education charity Basingstoke Consortium with our Step into Law days and continue our long tradition of providing pro bono legal work for Citizens Advice Basingstoke clients.

In 2026 we are regional sponsors of the Knight Frank Schools Triathlons. We are supporting their Charter House and Marlborough College events.

We have a charity of the year which is chosen by staff who run fundraising events. This year we chose Victoria’s Promise, a local charity, based in Hook. They provide support to young women, and their families, living with cancer and beyond. We strongly believe in supporting organisations that work with compassion and integrity. If you would like to support our team raising money for Victoria’s Promise you can donate here: Team Phillips is fundraising for Victoria’s Promise.

In 2021 we introduced a volunteer day for each member of staff which allows them to take a day out of the business to support a charity of their choice or the firm’s charity of the year.
