Corporate Social Responsibility & Community

Phillips Law is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility in the local community which is evidenced by being shortlisted for the Business and the Community Award in Basingstoke’s Place to be Proud of Awards in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Most of our staff live locally so we believe it is important to stay relevant, by sponsoring the Basingstoke half-marathon, working closely with Destination Basingstoke, organising donations for local food banks and donating any left-over client balances to St Michael’s Hospice in Basingstoke.

We are the lead sponsors for the Grange Festival’s charitable outreach. The programmes inspire young people in local schools and introduce them to the world of art. As the Grange works with many schools in Basingstoke this is a natural fit for us.

We are committed to supporting education charity Basingstoke Consortium with our Step into Law days and continue our long tradition of providing pro bono legal work for Citizens Advice Basingstoke clients.

We have a charity of the year which is chosen by staff who run fundraising events.

In 2021 we introduced a volunteer day for each member of staff which allows them to take a day out of the business to support a charity of their choice or the firm’s charity of the year.
