About

Phillips Law is a leading Hampshire law firm. Our core value is to bring talented people together to achieve exceptional outcomes for our clients.

A culture of collaboration

Phillips Solicitors was established in 1986. Brain Chase Coles Solicitors was established in 1995. Both firms merged on 1 February 2020. The merger was an important step towards our goal of building the region’s strongest dynamic, full-service law firm, whilst maintaining the traditional values that both firms were built on. In 2021, Phillips acquired Henley’s Solicitors. In 2022, we became Phillips Law.

A track record for excellence

We are highly recommended by The Legal 500, the largest and most prestigious in-depth survey of the UK legal market. Phillips Law continues to grow organically, attracting the brightest talent, and a loyal client following who consider us a partner to their businesses and personal life journeys. Our clients regularly recommend us to their networks. Our core value is to bring our talented colleagues and networks together to deliver the strongest, most personal client/lawyer relationship a law firm can provide.

A history of innovation

We have always believed in being innovative and getting involved with regional businesses and our community, with a reputation that extends far beyond county borders. We pioneered the introduction of mediation services in north Hampshire and Legal focussed IT systems to deliver efficiencies in support of our clients. We were also one of the first law firms in Hampshire to be awarded the Cyber Essentials accreditation, in recognition of how seriously we take cyber security.

Our purpose
We bring talented people together to achieve exceptional outcomes.
Our values

Positive

We always remain positive, seeing the best in people and situations and proactively finding opportunities. We identify positive outcomes early and we advise our clients on how we’re going to get there. Our can-do attitude means we foster long term sustainable relationships with our clients, our community, and the environment.

Integrity

We feel good about what we do. If it’s not right, we have the courage to say so. We treat people fairly. People are individuals and human, with different strengths and opportunities for growth; both are essential to building and growing our successful team and our valued client base.

Exceeding expectations

We understand and anticipate our clients’ needs and drivers meaning we can offer something personal beyond other law firms. Our business is what’s personal to our clients. Their business is personal to us. Our ambition allows us to exceed expectations.

Creative energy

Some people call it entrepreneurial; we call it our creative energy. We innovate to find the most efficient and cost-effective legal solutions for our clients. To do this, we hire and retain the best talent and ensure that everyone can work in a way that works for them. We encourage everyone to be their whole self, to have a voice and to contribute.

Collaborative

we enjoy working collaboratively and thinking together to work out the best, most effective and most efficient solutions. We offer constructive challenges at every juncture to ensure the best results. Our creativity leads us to grow, because growth is what happens when we enjoy what we do and the way that we do it.
