There were no soggy bottoms at Phillips Solicitors when colleagues took part in The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off.
Our event was organised by our super-efficient Residential Property Legal Assistant Joanne Hammans, who has so far raised more than £400 for Cancer Research UK.
Our star baker was Commercial Property Solicitor Kathryn Johns whose lemon drizzle unanimously impressed the judges the most. In fact they were full of admiration of all of our bakers and their creations, which ranged from a deliciously moist pear and almond sponge, cheesecake topped with raspberries, to a delightful giant Jaffa Cake and fruity flapjacks.
Employment Law Solicitor Kathleen Tingle’s chocolate fruit brownies also proved to be a hit placing her in second place in the fruit themed competition.
No doubt Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith from Channel 4’s The Great British Bake Off would have been amazed by our talented bakers.
