MONEYPENNY VISITS PHILLIPS
MONEYPENNY VISITS PHILLIPS

4 June 2019

We had a rather special visitor come by the offices of Phillips Solicitors.

MoneyPenny, the mascot for Ark Day posed with colleagues outside of our Town Gate offices, in London Street, to wish the firm well for its walk around War Memorial Park on June 21.

The pink pig has recently been visiting schools, local businesses and community organisations that are taking part in a whole host of events being held on Ark Day – which happens to be the longest day of the year.

The 24-hour FUNraising campaign aims to raise awareness and as much money as possible for the Ark Cancer Centre Charity.

The charity is raising £5m to help fund a much-needed NHS cancer treatment centre that will largely be funded by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust at Basingstoke hospital. So far, the charity has raised more than £2m. Ark Day will be one of the charity’s key fundraising events this year.

Phillips director Jack Gardener, who is expecting the whole office to take part, said: “We sponsor the Basingstoke Half Marathon so we thought we should do something fit and healthy with everyone together.”

“Hopefully it will be a nice day and we can all go together and have a chat and raise some money for an important charity.”

You can follow Ark Day on Facebook and on Twitter @ArkDayUK

Information about Ark Day can be found at https://arkday.co.uk/ while you can find out more about the Ark Cancer Centre Charity by visiting https://www.arkcancercharity.org.uk/
