FESTIVE FUN RUN
FESTIVE FUN RUN

19 December 2018

A sea of red suits and bushy white beards proved to be a colourful spectacle at Basingstoke’s War Memorial Park.

Pelican Cancer Foundation organised a Festive Fun Run which saw around 100 runners don Santa costumes and race either a 2.5K or a 5K route around the park, with the aim of raising the profile and funds for the Basingstoke-based charity.

Among the energetic participants was a team from Phillips Solicitors, led by Solicitor and Director Max Hope. He ran with his wife Susannah and their beautiful daughters, along with Rosie Ellis and Helen Young.

The Breeze radio station played some festive music and there was an opportunity to see some wonderful creatures from Miller’s Ark Animals.

All profits from the event will go to support Pelican’s work funding clinical research into advancing precision surgery in the treatment of bowel, liver, bladder and prostate cancers.
