Job Description:

We are looking to welcome a Plot Sales Solicitor into our Commercial Property team. This role will focus on plot sales work while also supporting residential property matters that sit between the commercial and residential teams.

The Commercial Property & Plot Sales Team

Our Commercial Property team works closely with developer clients on a wide range of property matters. The plot sales function plays a key role in supporting residential development projects, bridging the gap between commercial and residential property work. The team is collaborative, commercially minded and committed to delivering practical solutions for clients.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing day-to-day plot sales transactions from instruction through to completion
• Preparing contracts, transfers and related sale documentation
• Working closely with developer clients and providing regular updates on plot sales progress
• Liaising with buyer solicitors, agents and other third parties to keep matters on track
• Reviewing titles, identifying issues and proposing practical solutions
• Handling residential property matters that sit between commercial and residential teams
• Supervising and supporting a conveyancing assistant and/or Legal Secretary
• Preparing developer reports on plot sales progress
• Ensuring compliance with source of funds and AML requirements

To be successful for this position, you must have / be:

• A qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE
• Strong experience in residential property and plot sales
• Experience handling plot sales from start to finish
• Knowledge of residential leases, licences for alterations, deeds of variation and transfers of equity
• Confidence managing your own caseload and supervising support staff
• Strong organisational skills and a commercial, solution-focused approach
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills

Desirable experience includes:

• Residential leasehold matters including lease extensions, enfranchisement and right to manage
• Development or commercial property experience
• Experience dealing with overage provisions
• Site acquisition and site set-up experience
