We are welcoming a Paralegal into our Employment team, focusing on employment law for businesses. This role is key to supporting and advising businesses on employment law and HR advisory work, contributing to a high standard of service and strong client relationships.

The Employment team
Our Employment team provides practical, commercially focused advice to employer clients on a wide range of non-contentious employment law matters. These include contracts of employment, policies and procedures, consultancy agreements, dealing with exits for senior executives, TUPE, corporate support work, EMI schemes, employee relations support, and general HR advisory work.
We pride ourselves on delivering clear, pragmatic advice and building trusted, long-term client relationships. The team is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on quality and consistency.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting fee earners with a range of non-contentious employment law matters for business clients
- Assisting with drafting employment documentation, including contracts of employment, handbooks, and workplace policies
- Assisting with drafting consultancy agreements
- Supporting HR advisory work, including disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes
- Managing your own caseload of lower-risk advisory matters with appropriate supervision
- Undertaking legal research and keeping up to date with changes in employment law
- Assisting with audits of employment documentation and compliance processes
- Ensuring compliance with file management, regulatory and billing procedures
- Maintaining high levels of client care through clear, professional communication
- Liaising with clients and internal teams as required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in Employment law, ideally supporting employer clients
- Good understanding of employment law and the changes expected under the Employment Rights Act 2025
- Experience of drafting employment documentation and HR processes is desirable
- Experience supporting non-contentious advisory work is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on client service
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
- IT proficient, particularly in MS Office and case management systems
