5 October 2023
On 1 October 2023, the Basingstoke Half Marathon & 10K took place at the War Memorial Park in Basingstoke and Phillips was thrilled to be the headline sponsor for another year.
This year, young runners aged from 5 – 10 and 11 – 15 had the chance to take part in their own one-mile race which was a fantastic addition to the day and a delight to watch.
Team Phillips had over 50 runners taking part in the adult races and over 10 runners in the children’s races. It was great to have a healthy number of staff running alongside clients and contacts to form Team Phillips for the day. All our runners put body and soul on the line to complete the challenging and hilly courses.
In addition to the runners, lots of members of staff volunteered to decorate the hospitality tent, welcome runners, cheer on the finishers and hand out the all-important medals. We could not have pulled off such a successful day without them.
One of the best outcomes of the day was raising a fantastic £2,225 for St Michael’s Hospice, the firm’s Charity of the Year.
The Basingstoke half marathon and 10k is an important day for Phillips Law, as we get to showcase the town where we do business and connect with clients, staff, family members and the Basingstoke community.
