PHILLIPS SOLICITORS SET TO ACQUIRE HENLEYS SOLICITORS
PHILLIPS SOLICITORS SET TO ACQUIRE HENLEYS SOLICITORS

14 June 2021

Leading Hampshire Legal 500 law firm, Phillips Solicitors has announced that it is soon to acquire Henleys Solicitors, in Basingstoke.

The acquisition, which is in line with Phillips’ ambitious growth plans, will complete on 2 July 2021.

The move comes a little over a year since Phillips merged with Brain Chase Coles Solicitors. Since the merger with Brain Chase Coles, the firm has continued to grow organically with key hires.

The acquisition of Henleys further strengthens Phillips’ practice in residential conveyancing, wills and probate and private client.

Henleys was established 35 years ago and is led by Jonathan Henley who founded the firm.

Phillips Director Max Hope said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Henleys’ clients to Phillips and Jonathan Henley coming onboard as a consultant.”

“Henleys has been looking after its clients with great care and professionalism over many years, maintaining a strong reputation thanks to its strong client-centred values. Those values align with our own, making the move a seamless fit.”

Jonathan Henley said: “Phillips is a firm that is going from strength to strength, focussing on growth only where there is an important benefit in its offering to clients, ensuring strength and depth in its provision of legal services. To my mind, it is the leading firm in North Hampshire and so I am thrilled that Henleys’ clients will now become Phillips’ clients, and that I will be part of the transition in my role as consultant.”

Phillips Director Jack Gardener said: “We see this as very positive news for Henleys’ clients, who, through Phillips, will find the full range of legal services available to them from a full service Legal 500 law firm. They can expect to be looked after with the same strong degree of client care and attention that our clients expect. Overall, the move comes at an exciting time for Phillips, as we look to consolidate our position in Basingstoke and across North Hampshire.”
