Phillips Solicitors incorporating Brain Chase Coles has received The Law Society’s highest award for management quality.
It is the 15th consecutive year that Phillips has secured Lexcel accreditation, which many in the legal profession consider to be the gold-star legal quality mark and is designed to give clients reassurance that a legal practice meets their needs.
In order to maintain the accreditation, Phillips undergoes a rigorous independent assessment every year to ensure we meet the required standards of excellence in client care, structure and strategy, financial management, information management, people management, risk management, file and case management.
The Lexcel report outlined a number of areas in which Phillips had exceeded the Lexcel requirements, including the Client Satisfaction Survey showing “overwhelmingly Excellent responses, with the respondents stating that they are certain to recommend the practice to others; notably, they overwhelmingly awarded an Excellent mark for communication from their solicitors at the Practice.”
The report also highlighted Phillips’ impressive response to the Coronavirus lockdown, stating the firm has been able to maintain high standards of practice due to the “flexibility and adaptability” which was put in place well before the lockdown, as well as Phillips’ continued “active engagement” with its Corporate Social Responsibility during lockdown, including fundraising for Sebastian Action Trust.
Phillips director Max Hope said: “While we are proud to have secured Lexcel for the fifteenth year running, it is our clients who are the main beneficiaries as this accreditation recognises our focus on client care and customer service.”
“There is a lot of choice in the legal services market and being Lexcel accredited demonstrates our commitment to the very best client care and best practice.”
Jack Gardener, who is also a director at Phillips, added: “The accreditation exemplifies the hard work and dedication of the team at Phillips, as well as our achievements as a practice.”
“Once again we performed exceptionally well against the high standards set by The Law Society, and we look forward to continuing to embrace those standards as we continue to grow and develop as a firm.”
Established in 1986, Phillips Solicitors merged with Brain Chase Coles in February this year, creating a dynamic and powerful regional full-service law firm whilst maintaining the traditional values that both firms were built on.
The combined firm specialises in a wide range of legal matters including commercial and residential property, corporate and commercial, litigation and dispute resolution, family, wills and probate, estate planning, employment, insurance and education law.
