PHILLIPS RECOGNISED BY LEGAL 500 AS LEADING LAW FIRM FOR THE TENTH YEAR RUNNING

6 October 2020

Our inclusion in the 2021 edition of the prestigious guide confirms once again that Phillips Solicitors is one of the best law firms in the South East.

The Legal 500 is an impartial and independent guide to law firms and is highly regarded within the legal profession. It uses rigorous research, interviews, and testimonials from clients to compile the listing. Firms are recommended by The Legal 500 on merit alone.

This year we have been particularly recognised for our Employment, Family and Wills and Probate services. In addition, Sian Lias was singled out as a Wills and Probate ‘rising star’ and expert in estate administration for the second year.

The Legal 500 acknowledged Gill Brown’s 20-year experience and her expertise in dealing with employment related data protection, agricultural and corporate matters, while Jack Gardener was a name to note for TUPE and outsourcing issues, and advising on all employment aspects of corporate transactions. Howard Gardener was mentioned for his work in family law and his ability to “cut through irrelevancies and get to the heart of the matter.”

Phillips director Jack Gardener said: “To once again be recognised by The Legal 500 is excellent news. This is well deserved and reflects the dedication of everyone who works in the firm. We always strive for the best results for every case we take on and we would like to thank our clients for their kind reviews.”

Fellow director Max Hope said: “We are very pleased with this year’s results as they reflect Phillips’ position as one of the top law firms in Hampshire and indeed in the South East. We have worked very hard to earn our reputation as being a law firm committed to its clients. To have this independently recognised for the tenth year is important to us.”

The news follows from when in June Phillips was awarded The Law Society’s quality mark for excellence in legal practice management and client care. The Lexcel practice management standard is only awarded to law firms who provide the highest level of client care and business management standards.
