Job Description:

We are looking to welcome a Legal Secretary into our Wills, Trusts & Probate team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of the team by providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support.

Role location: Farnborough.

The Wills, Trusts & Probate team

Our team provides expert, sensitive and client-focused advice on a broad range of private client matters including Wills, Estate Planning, the creation and administration of Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, preparing and submitting applications for Grants of Probate, and ongoing estate administration.

We are known for building long-term client relationships, often supporting multiple generations of families. We pride ourselves on a collaborative and respectful working culture, where every team member contributes to a high-quality client experience. As a team we support one another on matters to provide the best experience for our clients.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
  • Typing and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and forms (audio and copy typing)
  • Managing diaries, booking appointments, and handling incoming calls and emails
  • Liaising with clients and third parties in a professional and sensitive manner
  • Maintaining accurate client files both electronically and in hard copy
  • Assisting with billing, file opening/closing and compliance tasks

To be successful for this position, you must have / be:

  • Proven experience working as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Private Client or Wills, Trusts & Probate team
  • Fast and accurate typing skills, including experience with audio typing
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
  • Flexible, dependable and committed to delivering a high-quality service
